Electrolux studying retailing through Reliance Retail

February 28th, 2007 · No Comments

Electrolux Kelvinator Limited, the Dhoot owned, consumer airconditioner, refrigerator and washing machines major is studying the pricing and marging economics of supplying its range of white goods to Reliance Retail, reports The Financial Express.

Any deal with the Reliance’s retail entity will substantially boost sales volumes of Electrolux products, which are presently sold through a network of 16 franchisee operated exclusive brand stores together with 4,500 multi brand, durables outlets across the country.

Reliance, which has made its foray into retail with the rolling out of 70 odd ‘Fresh’ convenience outlets in various parts of the country is expected to set up 100 speciality outlets this year, which among others, will offer consumer durables. Reliance is expected to begin rolling out such outlets beginning March, 2007.
