Well, TravelPort, a Rs 20 crore Travel company, having its reach in 55 locations within and outside India, has partnered with Kishore Biyani owned Future Group to make it possible. It has decided to set up 50 retail outlets offering travel solutions across the country. Each of the Future Group’s Central Mall will have one such retail outlet. TravelPort, in fact, has already launched its first outlet in the Central Mall at Pune. It expects to garner a revenue of Rs. 15 crore from this outlet alone. Incidentally, Pune city, after Mumbai and Delhi, accounts for the third largest contribution in the TravelPort revenues.
Famous model turned Milind Gunaji has agreed to act as the brand ambassador for promoting the concept.
This is an internationally successful concept which is being tried out for the first time in India. The Future Group has found it necessary to provide travel related services as a part its services bouquet offered in the malls.
