Wal-Mart buys TV time to shore up image with employees

April 21st, 2007 · No Comments

To shore up its badly bruised image, particularly relating to its labour policies, Wal-Mart- the world’s biggest retailer has bought TV time to telecast a TV (info-commercial) series in the US, called “In-Front with Wal-Mart.” The series, beginning from 28th April, 2007, is about Wal-Mart’s 1.9 million employees, popularly known as “Associates.”

Taking a dig at the ensuing show, one of the ‘Digg’ readers commented, ‘all the main characters are going to be divorced mothers in their 40s. This is going to be great.’
