Pantaloons, the country’s biggest listed retailer, a part of the Kishore Biyani owned Future Group, has roped in a Chennai-based human resources consulting firm - AVTAR, to employ women professionals and first time career seeking homemakers, to work part time in its stores in different cities across the country. AVTAR has been involved with provided temporary staffing solutions to service industries.

In fact, the innovative move which comes in wake of extreme shortage of trained personnel for retail operations, has already been kick-started in Kolkata, where the consulting firm has begun hiring.

The flagship company of the group has decided to initially hire 200 women employees in each for its stores in cities like Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Kochi and Pune, according to a Hindu Business Line report.

The part time employees so hired will be absorbed in both front-end and back-end retail operations includeing IT infrastructure management, warehousing, audit and customer relationship management, store operations, events management, in-store promotions, locality mapping, human resources, bar coding and merchandising.

Besides training these personell for specific activities, Pantaloon is also breaking up its back-end activities into small work units, each lasting 30 to 45 minutes. This should help even those employees who can not spare more than an hour or so every day for such flexi-time employment.

Survey says……. 56% of the customers come back, only because they had a great experience.
31%of the customers come back for the Quality and
    13% for value (Money).

That means 87% of customers depend on the PEOPLE, that is management and staff.

So the Big picture is if you have people with Great Attitude and Best training that exceed customer expectations.

SUCESS OF THE ORGANIZATION IS CERTAIN.

    Haseena.
