H&B Stores– the beauty and lifestyle retail initiative of domestic FMCG major Dabur India, has decided to invest Rs 120 crore on setting up about 100 H&B stores in the next three years. Each of the H&B store will occupy retail space of between 1,500 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft.
In the next ten years, the tally of H&B stores is expected to increase to 1,000 stores across the country.
The retail business to be lauched in January, 2008, has already begun hiring people for the new venture. In fact, while two expatriates have been recruited to man senior management positions, several other employees have appointed to head different verticals.
Dabur has decided to set up its own dedicated back-end supply chain and sell products of other brands besides the entire Dabur range of products.
Dabur India has already appointed two expatriates at senior management positions and have hired a host of Indian managers to spearhead various verticals.
This was disclosed by Dabur’s Vice Chairman, Amit Burman, who on the sidelines of the recent India Economic Summit in New Delhi, was briefing media persons.
