Giordano to expand retail network of fashion stores in India

Giordano International, leading international apparel and accessory retailer, owned by the Dubai-based $ 4 billion, Emirates Trading Agency (ETA) group, which operates 1,700 retail stores across Asia, Australia, the Middle East and North America, is mulling expansion of its retail network in India, says a DNA Money report.

Giordano, operates five stores located in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai, is expected to invest through single brand FDI route which allows foreign brands to infuse 51% of capital in India. Giordano began its operations in India, in May, 2006.

Established in 1981, Giordano, among the most well-known and established apparel retailers, which employes over 11,000 people, across the world, owns four brands, namely, Giordano, Giordano Ladies, Giordano Junior and Bluestar.
