Hero Ultra opens 132nd showroom; plans to add another 43 by March, 2008

Having already launched 132 showrooms across the country, for battery-operated (electric) two-wheelers, Hero Ultra- is ready to open another 43 by March, 2008. This will take the tally of showrooms to 175.

Hero Ultra is a Joint Venture between Munjals owned Hero Cycles and  Ultra Motor Company of the UK.

Battery operated two-wheelers are fast becoming popular as they consume very little power and do not require license for those driving the same.

The joint venture, which has its manufacturing facility in Dehradun, is planning to sell 20,000 vehicles during this fiscal (2007-08).

“We plan to increase the network to 175 by opening another 43 showrooms in major cities by the end of March,” said a senior company official. He was speaking on the occasion of the launch of 132nd showroom in Nashik in Maharashtra.
