India’s largest electronic durables store (65,000 sq ft) unveiled in Gurgaon

Close on heels of the recent successful launch of exclusive ‘iStore’ at Hyderabad, Reliance Retail, a part of Mukesh Ambani group, has launched India’s biggest consumer durables and digital products store in Gurgaon (NCR). The first three ‘Digital’ stores are located in Gaziabad (UP-NCR), Mumbai and Bangalore.

Reliance Digital, a speciality retail format of the group, typically spread over 15,000 to 35,000 sq ft of area, is planning to open outlets across 70 cities of the country. Reliance is looking at Rs. 15,000 crore in revenues from this segment in the next 3-4 years.

Complying to Reliance Retail’s core philosophy of “customer centricity and a hassle free store experience” the new ‘Digital’ store, spread over an area of 42,000-odd sq ft in Ambiance Mall of Gurgaon is the largest of its kind stores in the country. It offers over 5,000 products of 150 international brands in different consumer and professional durable product segments including entertainment electronics, home appliances, IT solutions, telecom equipment and accessories. The new store, has employed 95 persons to serve diverse needs of its customers between 1000 and 2200 hours.

Reliance is introducing “RelianceresQ” — an end to end solution for all technology products, which through a network of in-house service centers will provide pre sales and post sales support services to its consumers.

In a first of its kind wireless home networking concept, Reliance is also introducing “Digital Microsoft Connected Home,” which in a consumer home, will bring all multimedia, digital entertainment and electronic products like music systems, TV sets, gaming consoles, and computers together on a single platform. While, demonstrating and demystifying technology, this will also showcase as to how digital products can talk with each other.
