As Georgio Armani, the iconic luxury brand in the world of fashion, gets ready to launch its first store in partnership with the real estate giant DLF owned Emperio mall in the capital, another real estate major Emaar MGF, an Indian joint venture of Dubai-based Emaar Properties, according to a Business-Standard report, is preparing to launch private luxury  residences bearing Armani brand in the country.

These luxury residences to be called ‘Armani Residences’ will be designed by Giorgio Armani himself.

“India is one of the key markets identified by Emaar as part of its geographic expansion. As one of the fastest growing economies in the region, with a growing profile of high net worth individuals, Emaar is evaluating the possibility of introducing Armani Residences in a major Indian city,” said a spokesperson for Emaar Properties. The property developer has recently launched 144 ‘Armani Residences’ at Burj Dubai development, which to be inaugurated in the last quarter of this year is expected to be the tallest man-made structure in the world.

The Armani Hotel Dubai to be set up in Burj Dubai will include restaurants, 160 guest rooms and suites, and a spa covering more than 40,000 square meters.

Armani Residences, an part of Armani Hotels & Resorts, is a joint initiative between Giorgio Armani S.p.A and Emaar Properties, that will develop, own and operate exclusive hotels, resorts and residences in important cities and holiday destinations of the world including the plans to set up Armani brand of luxury hotels in Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Goa.
