“Having achieved leadership in North and West India, Jeevansathi.com is poised to enter the offline space. Synergizing our online business with the retail network will significantly build significant volumes for us. With time, we plan to ramp up and introduce value added services like astrology, horoscope matching etc.” — Swapnil Tripathi, VP, Consumer Services and Operations, Info Edge (India) Ltd.

Jeevansaathi.com, a sister matrimony web service of InfoEdge owned Naukari.com, which offers match making services persons looking out for life partners, has decided to leverage on its strength of the huge database of profiles of such persons, to launch an offline retail service, says a media report.

InfoEdge.com, in the next six months, will set up 30 ‘brick-n-mortar’ retail stores across the country branded as ‘Jeevansathi.com Match Point.’ In fact, the first of these stores has already begun operating from Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh.

The physical version of the web service will target those customers, who either do not have easy access to internet services or who find it uncomfortable to operate such services. Company Counsellers at ‘Match Point’ stores will help such customers find suitable partners matching desired profile.

Like Jeevansathi, many other web service providers including travel booking portals are also looking at offering offline services to their customers as well.
