Saguna stores among others offer a range of whole and portioned fresh chicken, hygienic nutritious and tender chicken, speciality eggs, sausages and salami. It hopes to also soon introduce ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat chicken and mutton products.
A typical Saguna store occupies upto 300 sqft of space and is located in prime residential areas.Each store entails an investment of Rs 6 lakh.
Founded in 1994, the group is producing 80 lakh broiler chicken a week and has recorded a turnover of Rs 2,000 crore in FY 2007-08, representing 20% share of the market.
The total poultry market in India estimated at Rs 20,000 crore is expected to double by 2013, says an HBL report.
Apart from having set up a plant at Udumelpet at an investment of Rs 4 crore, the group is looking at setting up another plant at Nashik to cater to the demands of western region.

This is a new idea to put up poulry products in markets as retail business. Present trend of buyers is a good indication of success of this venture. People prefer fresh, and Daily Fresh may so get on the top.

It’s a good initiative taken by suguna to offer best product to the consumer. When it comes as dressed chicken, the environmental pollution control will be assured. The economics of the new concept should hopefully be encouraging.

It is very good concept to introduce the dressed chicken in the market.Last 5 years iam stay at Kolkata.Here most of the peoples welcome to organize dressed chicken for ready to cook.I hope Suguna Daily fresh very soon come to Kolkata
