October 20th, 2008 · No Comments

“We believe that we will usher in a new era in the retailing of leisure products in the State which recognises the growing needs of discerning customers.” — Bijou Kurien, President and CEO (Lifestyle), Reliance Retail.

Reliance Retail, the retail arm of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited, in these days of economic restraint, is going ahead with its expansion plans in Kerala.

Reliance Retail has concurrently launched  three of its specialty format stores at the Oberon Mall in Kochi. These formats comprise Reliance Trends (apparel, luggage and accessories), Reliance Footprint (footwear, handbags and accessories, and Reliance TimeOut (books, music, leisure, stationary, toys and gifts).

The three formats occupy a total space of 57,000 sqft. Of this 28,000 sqft of space has been taken up by Reliance Trends, 8,000 sqft by Reliance Footprint, and the balance 21,000 sqft has been occupied by Reliance TimeOut.
